Connect to ElasticSearch (beta)

Wyn Enterprise provides the beta support for ElasticSearch data provider. However, it requires a separate driver for its execution which you need to install manually on your system. For more information regarding the driver installation steps, refer to this topic.

Note: You can create a ElasticSearch data source only if the Admin has enabled the ElasticSearch (beta) data provider in the Admin Portal. For more information, visit this topic.

To create an ElasticSearch data source in Wyn Enterprise, follow these steps.

  1. On the Resource Portal, navigate to Create (+) > Create Data Source.

  2. Select ElasticSearch in the data source list on the left or in the icon view on the right.

  3. Fill in the database configuration information for the selected data source.

Field Description
Name* The name for the data source that you want to specify.
Server* A server name or address.
Port A port number, the default is 9200.
User ID* A user ID to connect to the ElasticSearch database.
Password* A password of the ElasticSearch user.
Use Configuration String (Advanced) Use this option to connect to the data provider through a connection string. The format of the connection string is: jdbc:es://http://myServerAddress:myServerPort/
Use Table/Field Name Mapping If you check this option, you can either import a CSV file or manually enter the display names for the required tables or fields in the Mapping dialog. For more information on mapping table and column names, visit this topic.

* Required fields

  1. Click Test Connection to verify the data source connection. If the data source is available, and the credentials filled are correct, you receive a notification on successful connection.

  2. Click Create after the successful connection.

    You can view the added data source in the Categories tab of the Resource Portal.
